Andrew Harrison fits dribble-drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach John Calipari is hopeful Andrew Harrison will turn out like so many other point guards he's coached.

Harrison, whose twin brother Aaron comes to UK as a shooting guard, has many of the same qualities of his brother. "Great size, great ability to get to the rim, great skill level with the ball," Calipari said. "(He) has the mentality of a point guard where he'll get everybody involved."

The Harrisons arrive in Lexington this week as summer school begins and Calipari starts laying plans for next season. Just like Aaron, Andrew knows Cal is demanding. "Coach Cal, he's a very blunt person. He's honest. And he told us we have to come in here and fight for what we want and hopefully I can do that," Andrew Harrison said.

Both twins can drive the basketball which means Calipari will be going back to a lot of the dribble-drive.

"We've got to learn more. I've got to get him here and say okay what is exactly the best way for him to play," Calipari said. "Because your point guards got to score also, which he does. I think the dribble-drive and pick-and-roll for him. He plays with great pace already. It's really going to be good for him."
