Former UK running back turns children's book author

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - For four seasons from 1999 to 2002, Artose Pinner made a name for himself as a running back for the University of Kentucky.

In his senior season, Pinner rushed for 1,414 yards. A mark that still stands as the second highest single season total in UK history.

Following a career at Kentucky, football led Pinner to the NFL. A fourth round pick of the Detroit Lions, Pinner spent six seasons playing professional football. Still in the back of his mind was one thing he wanted to achieve at UK.

On Friday December, 20th Pinner walked the stage as a college graduate.

Now a college graduate, Pinner has begun an entirely new career as an author for a children's book titled "Willville." It's a series of books aimed at inspiring and encouraging kids to always chase their dreams and overcome adversity.
