Lexington, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach John Calipari says he has no intention of getting complacent as he prepares to begin his fourth season as coach of the Wildcats.

In an interview with WKYT Cal said, "You can look at it one of two ways. You can get complacent and I looked at it and I said we're turning it up. We're going harder than we've ever gone, I'm spending more time at this.

Calipari said his work with the Dominican Republic National Team took time. "Those six weeks jammed me in but it didn't affect the time I spent in recruiting, on the phones, texting and doing all the things I needed to do."

Cal said he wants to make sure his mindset is he's doing the best job he can to make sure his players have a great experience. "We had sixteen workouts, well thirteen of them I did. So I was here to do them to be coached by me, that's why they came here."
