LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach John Calipari scrimmaged his squad in practice Monday, putting freshmen big men Nerlens Noel and Willie Cauley-Stein on the same team for the second day in a row.

Calipari has talked repeatedly about playing the big men together and fans may see it for the first time when Kentucky plays its first exhibition game Thursday night against Northwood.

Newcomers Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress and Julius Mays joined Noel and Cauley-Stein on the same team for the scrimmage. A lengthy report on CoachCal.come details the practice.

Northwood is the top-ranked NAIA team, coached by Rollie Massimino and should provide a challenge in the first exhibition.
