LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach John Calipari says his players must be more aggressive and must become a great defensive team. Calipari said, "Everybody sees we're not as good as they say we are."

In Wednesday night's Blue-White Scrimmage in Rupp Arena the Blue defeated the White 89-88 with freshman Archie Goodwin leading all scorers with 32 points. In developing another young team Calipari said every day is a grind and there's no backing up.

Cal also didn't hesitate to get on Goodwin, his high scoring freshman guard who is expected to start and make a major contribution. He didn't like Goodwin passing up Julius Mays and taking a shot. "Julius was out ahead of him and he drove it by him and shot it. And that's unacceptable here and I let him know that." Goodwin accepted what his coach had to say. " Just trying to get everything together because I know he's not doing it for the wrong reason, he's doing it to help me become a better, complete player. So I just look at it like that and then I can move on."
