Calipari expects competitive SEC Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach John Calipari is expecting a competitive SEC Tournament with several teams entering the post season playing good basketball.

"I mean Tennessee is playing as well as anybody in the country, they are beating people by 30. Now Arkansas on the road is not the same team they are at home but ya know, they're still playing well, they were beating people by 30."

Calipari also pointed to Georgia, a surprising No. 3 seed in this week's tournament in Atlanta. Florida, a perfect 18-0 in the conference in the regular season is the favorite. "Florida is like we were a couple of years ago, they're in the same position and ya know, it looks like, they're going to have a tough first opponent, just like the rest of us."

Kentucky opens SEC Tournament play Friday night against either LSU or Alabama. Tipoff on WKYT will be at 7:00 p.m. Coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Wildcat Warmup.
