LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky goes into the SEC Tournament in Nashville Friday night and coach John Calipari says his team has something to prove. "Believe me, individuals and as a team we have a lot to prove. I keep telling them lets worry about us, play at our best and see what that means."

In the quarterfinals in Bridgestone Arena, UK will play the winner of Thursday's game between Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Kentucky is the No. 2 seed in the tournament and come off a season ending upset of Florida. The Cats know they've reverted at times, losing at Arkansas and Georgia after upsetting Missouri. Freshman Willie Cauley-Stein doesn't know if his team will revert again. "I couldn't answer that now, I couldn't answer that now. We've been here before like this, so I'm not even gonna try to answer it now."

Calipari gave his team just one day off and practiced Monday. Sophomore Kyle Wiltjer, who's suffering through a shooting slump, said no one can let up. "Not letting up and holding guys accountable. That's the main thing in practice every day and then hopefully, to keep translating into the games."

The Cats are still fighting for an NCAA bid. Kentucky is a young squad that lost its best player. Calipari said his team is good enough and has accomplished a lot. "At the end of the day, you look back to all thats happened to this team. To be where we are, second place, have the most wins against the top six teams, us and Florida. What? What just happened? Looking at guys playing, we're just hanging around and that's what we want to do."

SEC Tournament coverage on WKYT begins Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. with a preview hosted by Kyle Macy and Rob Bromley. Kentucky's quarterfinal game against either Arkansas or Vanderbilt will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Coverage will begin with Wildcat Warmup at 7:00 p.m.
