LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky coach John Calipari on Tuesday told ESPN.com that he won't restrict where forward Kyle Wiltjer might transfer.
Wiltjer, the SEC's Sixth Man of the Year last season, announced on Monday that he was exploring options at other schools. Wiltjer would have to sit out next season if he transfers from UK, but would have two years of eligibility remaining.
Calipari has left the door open for Wiltjer to return, but also announced that if the Portland native does leave, he won't be blocked from transferring to any school.
Last season, Wiltjer averaged 10.2 points per game for the Wildcats.
