Cats finding way to win

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach John Calipari wants his team to find a way to win no matter who's not playing well or who's out of the game.

Speaking on the SEC teleconference Monday, Calipari said, "We've had games where Andrew (Harrison) wasn't getting it done, no pressure on the ball. We've also won with Aaron (Harrison) on the bench. James Young against Belmont was in Detroit before the game started, so we won without him."

The last time out against Louisville, Julius Randle had a huge first half but spent the second half on the bench with leg cramps. Kentucky found a way to win without him. "Now we've won without Julius, now the question is can Dakari (Johnson) and Marcus (Lee) give us enough that we can win without Willie (Cauley-Stein). Now what's important about that is those guys know if you don't come to play and compete and battle, or you're not quite ready, well you're out and we'll win without you."

Kentucky opens SEC play against Mississippi State Wednesday. Tipoff will be at 8:00 p.m. on WKYT.
