Cats head to Georgia Thursday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Wildcats face another road test Thursday night as John Calipari takes his team to Georgia, the Cat's only game with the Bulldogs this season. Kentucky will be looking to bounce back from Saturday's 73-60 loss at Arkansas.

UK has only Georgia and Florida left on the schedule and the Cats need more wins to gain a spot in the NCAA. Calipari remained positive after the loss at Arkansas, as he still works to replace the injured Nerlens Noel. "We're different because we're brand new. We're still trying to figure out (how to play without Noel)."

Calipari has pointed out before teams continue to be upset. "You've got a lot of teams getting beat right now and they're mostly road games, some are getting beat at home. Some on three game slides, four game slides. I mean you've got that across the country. But we're so new, we're still trying to figure out the best way for us to play."

Georgia is coming off a 78-68 win over Tennessee in Athens, their second win over the Vols. The Bulldogs are 8-8 in the SEC. They lost four of their first five conference games, but then put together a five game winning streak.

Kentucky and Georgia will tipoff at 7:00 pm. Thursday on ESPN.
