Chance for 25th win in 2 years fueling Ohio State

As far as consolation prizes go, Ohio State finds this one more than a little acceptable.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - As far as consolation prizes go, Ohio State finds this one more than a little acceptable.

Had a play gone differently here or there in the Big 10 title matchup against Michigan State, the seventh-ranked Buckeyes would have been playing in the BCS national championship game.

Instead, they got invited to the Orange Bowl, where No. 12 Clemson will await them on Friday night.

A win on Friday would give Ohio State a 25-1 record over the past two seasons, plus make Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer 5-0 all-time in BCS games. And running back Carlos Hyde says that would be "definitely like history."
