Clevenger named Danville football coach

DANVILLE, Ky (WKYT) - Sam Harp was the face of Danville football for 25 years. Harp resigned earlier this year and now the reigns have been turned over to former all-state Danville lineman Clay Clevenger. The Danville alum, and former All-American at Carson-Newman, comes to his alma-mater after spending six years at Henderson County High School.

Clevenger played for Harp from 1992-95, helping win a pair of state titles in '92 and again in '94. "I just hope to have half as many wins and half of the state titles (under Harp)." Harp won seven state championships and 276 games during his quarter of a century in Danville blue.
