Cobb steps up game in second year

Entering his second year in the NFL Randall Cobb has something to prove.

"Whatever I can do to help this team get to a Super Bowl, that's the thing, says Cobb. "I look at the big picture of I'm going to do whatever I can to contribute, and wherever they ask me to play is where I'm going to play."

Playing primarily on special teams in his rookie season, Cobb accounted for one punt return for a touchdown and a kickoff return for a touchdown in week number one that was later named the NFL play of the year. In 2012 Cobb hopes to contribute more to the offense.

"I feel like I'm ready to make that jump, ready to make that step. It's just about me proving myself in practice everyday, and giving the coaches the trust and Aaron the trust that I can do it and going out there and making it happen."

One of the things the Packers like about Randall Cobb is his big play capabilities. Turning the simple slant pattern or wide receiver screen into a touchdown.

"I look at myself as a playmaker. Someone that can go out there when the ball's in my hands and be a threat to take it the distance and I hope that's what the coaches see in me and I hope I can continue to be that threat."

In Thursday night's game in Cincinnati, Cobb caught two passes for 23 yards with the first team offense and added two punt returns for 32 yards.
