Danville's Harp resigns after 25 years as coach

DANVILLE, Ky (WKYT) - The Advocate-Messenger is reporting Danville High School football, Sam Harp, has resigned after 25 years on the Admirals sidelines. Harp will become the new coach at Lebanon High School in Tennessee. Harp began at Danville in 1988 and guided the Admirals to 10 state championship appearances in class 'A' and '2A' winning seven titles in 1989, 1991, 1992, 1994, 2000, 2001, and 2003.
Harp also won 326 games, ranking him 5th all-time in that department in Kentucky High School history. 277 of those victories were at Danville, the rest coming at Calloway County and Anderson County.
