LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - According to a report in The TImes Picayune, the New Orleans Pelicans are not extending a qualifying offer to small forward Darius Miller He will become an unrestricted free agent Tuesday.
The report, quoting league soucres, said the Pelicans need salary cap room after acquiring center Omer Aski last week in a trade with Houston.
Miller played in 45 games last season for the Pelicans and averaged 4.4 points per game. He missed the first 17 games of the season after undergoing offseason surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot. He finished the season strong starting the final seven games.
