RICHMOND, Ky. – It’s August which means the start of the collegiate fall sports season is here. The Eastern Kentucky University football players are scheduled to report to campus today. The team will hold its first official practice Friday morning, Aug. 2 at the Presnell practice facility beginning at 6:45 a.m.
Around 95 players are on the preseason camp roster including four players who were named to the 2013 preseason All-OVC team. The first practice featuring pads will be Tuesday, Aug. 6.
All preseason practices are open to the public. Colonel supporters and media are more than welcome to attend.
Scrimmages are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10 and 17.

Thursday, Aug. 22 - Colonel Club Fish Fry at Roy Kidd Stadium (6:30 p.m.)
Friday, Aug. 23 - Meet the Colonels Night at Roy Kidd Stadium (5:30 p.m.)
EKU kicks off the 2013 schedule with a Thursday night home opener against Robert Morris on Aug. 29. This will mark the first season opener at home and on a Thursday night since 1993.
