BRISTOL Ct. (WYMT) - ESPN.com put together a 2012-13 rookie of the year forecast and many basketball experts have placed former Wildcats in their top five.
Leading the list as a projected rookie of the year is forward Anthony Davis. Davis averaged 14.2 points, 10.4 boards, and 4.7 blocks last season for the Cats.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist finds himself third behind Damion Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers. MKG was arguably the heart and soul of the Wildcats last season and averaged 11.9 points and 7.4 boards per game. Both Davis and MKG led the Cats to their 8th national title after they defeated Kansas in the title game 67-59.
