LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Five former University of Louisville athletes will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next month in Louisville.
Former guard DeJuan Wheat played for the Cardinals from 1993 to 1997 and is Louisville's No. 2 all-time scorer with 2,183 points. Wheat played 12 seasons of pro ball internationally.
Former quarterback Chris Redman is one of only three FBS quarterbacks to throw for at least 12,000 yards in a career. He played for Louisville from 1996 to 1999 and had a 12-year professional career in football, including 11 years in the NFL.
Also being inducted Jan. 11 are pitcher Sean Green, who played from 1998 to 2000; pitcher Tara McClure Isable, who played softball from 2000 to 2001; and field hockey standout Pip Sanders, who is played from 1999 to 2002.
