LEXINGTON, Ky (WKYT) - Sophomore running back Braylon Heard is transferring from Nebraska to Kentucky. During his two-year stay in Lincoln, Heard rushed for 461 yards with three touchdowns for the Cornhuskers averaging better than 6.7 yards per carry.
Heard was a 4-star recruit out of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio, the alma mater of Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops. Vince Morrow, another Cardinal Mooney alum, was an assistant at Nebraska last season. Heard visited Kentucky in late March. Heard will be available to play college football in the 2014 season as a red-shirt junior.
