Former Catholic pitcher Maronde called up to big leagues

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Former Lexington Catholic left-hander Nick Maronde has been called up to the Major Leagues. Maronde was in Anaheim on Wednesday for the Angels game with Boston.

Maronde had recently been pitching for the Arkansas Travelers in Double A, where he was 3-2 with a 3.34 earned run average in seven games, including five starts.
