LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Three former Kentucky players highlight this year’s BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, which will be played on Friday of All-Star Weekend.
Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist were rookie selections, while Brandon Knight was a sophomore pick, the NBA announced Wednesday.
The game will be played Feb. 15 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Tipoff is set for 9:00 p.m. on TNT.
Davis, the top pick in this year’s draft, is averaging nearly 13 points and eight rebounds per game for New Orleans.
Kidd-Gilchrist was the second pick in the draft by Charlotte. He is averaging 10 points and six rebounds per game.
Knight is in his second season with the Pistons.
Former Morehead State All-American Kenneth Faried also will participate in the Rising Stars Challenge.
