GEORGETOWN, Ky (WKYT ) - Georgetown returned to the NAIA Top-25 for the first time since the start of the season. The Tigers promptly rallied to the knock off the 7th ranked University of Pikeville 83-76.
The Tigers (18-5, 10-5 Mid-South Conference) stayed in the game plan and in the end hit the shots to win 83-76 and pull within a half a game of the Bears (19-4, 10-4) in league standings.
Without Vic Moses for the entire second half, Georgetown found muscle from Deondre McWhorter, Montavious Marc and Corey Washburn.
Monty Wilson once again led the charge with 20 points and Garel Craig had 19, but it was a dunk from McWhorter that ignited the crowd and turned the tide. The freshman finished with 15 points.
Jamar Brisco poured in a game-high 26 points and Trevor Setty added 20 in his final time playing in Georgetown, where he started his college career.
