Houston Rockets trade former Wildcat Patterson

HOUSTON, Tx -- Yahoo! Sports is reporting former Kentucky Wildcats star, Patrick Patterson, has been traded from the Houston Rockets to the Sacramento Kings. The Kings have decided to trade the 2012 No. 5 overall pick Thomas Robinson to the Rockets. In this surprising trade, the Kings will receive Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich in exchange for Robinson, Tyler Honeycutt and former Louisville Cardinal Francisco Garcia.

Robinson had playing time blocked by DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson. The rookie forward is averaging 4.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in just under 16 minutes a contest.

Patterson is averaging 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in just under 26 minutes an outing.
