Kentucky girls win, boys routed by Indiana

The Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Series was renewed Friday night at Freedom Hall in Louisville. The Kentucky girls held off Indiana 84-78, the boys were routed 114-60.

Kentucky opened a big lead early in the firls game and then held on to win. Ashton Feldhaus led the way with 20 points, Makayla Epps added 17 points and 11 assists. The Kentucky girls have now won three in a row and five of the last six in the series.

The boys game, a 54 point loss for Kentucky, was the biggest rout in series history dating back to 1940. UK freshman Derrick Willis finished with 18 for Kentucky. Dominique Hawkins, another UK freshman added 13. Indiana leads the boys series all-time 88-44.
