Man arrested for murder of former UK player

Police arrested a man wanted for the murder of a former UK basketball player.

Police in Huntington, West Virginia surrounded a home where Richard Willis was inside. Police in Columbus, Ohio say Willis is responsible for the murder of Desmond Allison. Allison was shot to death outside of a Columbus apartment complex in July of 2011. A month later, police issued a warrant for Willis' arrest.

On Friday morning, police in Huntington arrested Willis on a fugitive from justice charge.

Allison played at UK from 1998 to 2000. During his two seasons as a Wildcat, Allison averaged six-points per game, before he was dismissed for a DUI arrest.
