Marcus Lewis dunk finalist

RICHMOND, Ky. - A dunk this season by Eastern Kentucky University junior guard Marcus Lewis is a finalist for Dunk of the Year. Fan voting will determine the winner.

The alley-oop dunk versus Southeast Missouri State on February 2 was also a finalist for the 2013 GEICO Play of the Year in April. The play, which featured a precision pass from Glenn Cosey, rose to as high as No. 3 on ESPN's SportsCenter Top-10. selected 16 of the best dunks from the 2012-13 college basketball season and paired them up in a single elimination tournament. The Lewis dunk has beaten three others to reach the finals, where it is matched up with a dunk by Syracuse's C.J. Fair. The winners in each round are determined by a fan vote. Voting for the finals ends this Sunday at midnight Eastern. Go to to vote.

Eastern Kentucky was inbounding the ball beneath its own basket midway through the second half. Lewis stood near the half-court line with his hands on his hips, looking like he had no intention in being involved in the play. When his defender glanced the other way, Lewis streaked to the basket, leaped and threw down a lob at full-extension causing the Colonels' bench to erupt
