Mason County's Harris signs with Cats

Mason County standout Josh Harris new all along he wanted to be a Kentucky Wildcat. "When it comes down to it, I just love Kentucky. It's where I have grown up, it's my home." Harris making it official on the first day of the national signing period joining 24 others who will wear the Blue and White. Royals coach David Buchanan has nothing but high praise for Harris. "He's got great character, he's gonna play really hard, he's very physical, and he's got a great football IQ. I just think he is a terrific football player."
Harris had his senior season in football cut short due to a knee injury, but UK did not back down on their commitment. "They (UK coaches) never waivered for a second and that was sent me over the top", Harris stated. Coach Buchanan agreed. "I was really impressed with the way they handled it. I thought Coach (Chuck) Smith did a great job of recruiting Josh all through the process."
Harris joins some elite company at Mason County becoming on the fourth Division One (FCS) football signee in the history of the school. Buchanan says Harris will remind UK fans of a player like 49ers Hall of Fame cornerback/safety Ronnie Lott in terms of ferocity on the field.
