No. 2 Georgetown hands Union MSC East loss

GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Union football team dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-4 in the Mid-South Conference East following a 77-0 loss at No. 2 Georgetown (Ky.) on Saturday.

The highly-ranked Tigers improved to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

Georgetown outgained Union 591-62 in total offense. Rob Brown led the Bulldog ground attack with 41 yards on 13 carries.

The Tigers led 21-0 after the first and 35-0 at the half. Georgetown closed out the game with 28 fourth-quarter points.

Defensively, Ryan Shipley and Isiah Anderson led Union with 11 tackles apiece, while Bert Brown had six total stops and one interception.

Union will close out the season next Saturday when it plays host to Pikeville (Ky.) in another MSC East contest. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
