LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kelly Oubre, a 6-foot-7 wing player in the Class of 2014, announced Tuesday that he will play at Kansas.
"Blessed to say that I have committed to Kansas," Oubre tweeted.
Oubre chose Kansas over a list of suitors -- most notably Kentucky. 247 Sports ranks Oubre as the fourth-best prospect in the Class of 2014. Oubre visited KU over the weekend and was sold on the idea of being the replacement for Andrew Wiggins -- the top prospect in the Class of 2013 who will almost certainly leave after one season.
"Of course [Wiggins is] going to the league [after this year], so they just need another big wing to come in and just fill that spot," Oubre told SNY.tv. "[Kansas coach Bill Self] pretty much told me everything's there for me."
