LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - According to the Detroit Free Press, former Kentucky All-American Tayshaun Prince has been traded by the Pistons.
The Pistons are involved in a three-team trade that would land them point guard Jose Calderon and send forward Tayshaun Prince to Memphis, reports say.
There are numerous reports that the Grizzlies are trading star forward Rudy Gay to the Toronto Raptors for the expiring contract of Jose Calderon ($10.5 million). The Grizzlies will then ship Calderon to the Pistons for "a package that includes forward Tayshaun Prince."
Prince has spent his entire 11-year career with the Pistons and was the starting small forward for the 2003-04 NBA title team. He has career averages of 12.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
