Randle stays on court at Arkansas

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK freshman Julius Randle was sidelined by leg cramps in two games this season. But what happened against Louisville and against Vanderbilt, didn't happen Tuesday night at Arkansas.

Randle apparently has changed his diet. "Kind of like my mom, my family." said Randle. "They've been seeing what I 've been eating. So I think my diet had a lot to do with it this week."

Coach John Calipari was no doubt happy for him to stay on the court. "He gets cramps because he gets whacked so much." said Calipari. "It's hard, he's playing sumo racing and running. It's hard, he'd be a gold medalist in that sport.

Thursday Randle was named a second team Midseason All-American by The Sporting News.
