LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Julius Randle now has nine double-doubles as a Kentucky Wildcat following Saturday's 29 point, ten rebound performance against Belmont. What the 6-9 freshman is facing is double teams, game after game.
"I've been doing it my whole life." said Randle. "I mean I know they're fouling me. Sometimes it's a little bit overboard but I just pretty much am accustomed to the physical play and how people play me."
Randle probalby had his worst game one week earlier against North Carolina. He finished with 11 points and five rebounds. Against Belmont he put together the ninth double-double of his career. "Confidence and I wasn't holding it as much, as far as when I caught the ball and looking for the defense. I knew the defense was coming and I just had to make a quick move or a quick pass."
Kentucky returns to action Saturday against Louisville. Tipoff will be at 4:00 p.m. on WKYT. A one hour pregame special will begin at Noon.
