Shaw takes over at Lafayette

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Former Bengals linebacker Eric Shaw is the new head coach at Lafayette.

Shaw is a longtime assistant and defensive coordinator for the Generals, having spent 12 years on the Lafayette sidelines. He replaces Carl Hayden, who resigned last month. Hayden has accepted an administrative role at Carter G. Woodson Academy.

"We're going to keep it going," Shaw told WKYT. "Keep it moving. I'm going to be me. We're looking forward to a great season.'

Shaw played at Louisiana Tech before spending three seasons in Cincinnati.
