Stoops says no change in UK quarterback situation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After another scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at Commonwealth Stadium, Kentucky coach Mark Stoops said still no decision has been made on his quarterback situation.

"They each rotated, and again, they all did some good things, and did some bad things," he said. "We'll get in there today and evaluate this film, evaluate the past couple of weeks and see where we're at. You know, if we're ready, if we feel like we have a decision after that, then we'll make an announcement."

Stoops has consistently stated that he won't be pressured into making a quick decision on a starting quarterback. He reiterated that again on Saturday.

Stoops said his defensive unit still lacks depth, but that UK's starters were solid. He also said this is the first time he's had to depend upon a large group of freshmen to contribute immediately.
