Strong interviews for vacant Texas job

AUSTIN, Tx - (WKYT) Just one day after Mack Brown’s final game as the Texas Longhorns' football coach, Louisville coach Charlie Strong's name has surfaced. Orangebloods.com is reporting Texas athletics director Steve Patterson “flew to an undisclosed location” to interview Strong on Tuesday. It appears Strong has been highly recommended from the search firm employed to help hire a new coach.
The report from Orangebloods.com also says Vandy coach James Franklin has been interviewed and Patterson would like to speak with Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio. The Longhorns would like to have a coach in place by the end of the recruiting period which is January 15th.
