Tennessee pitcher commits to UK

Knoxville, TN (WKYT) - UK baseball picked up a commitment from right-handed pitcher Trevor Clifton out of Heritage High School in Maryville, Tennessee. Clifton is from the same county that produced Randall Cobb.

Clifton goes 6-4, 190 lbs. and throws consistently 90-91 mph. At a tournament last week he topped out at 94 mph.

Tennessee made an offer but came in late and Clifton said Kentucky had been there from the beginning. ESPN ranks him as the No. 3 right-handed pitcher in the class of 2013.
