LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Raymond Spalding scored 14 points to lead Louisville Trinity to a 74-56 win over Hopkinsville on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Kentucky boys Sweet 16 state basketball tournament at Rupp Arena.
The Shamrocks (31-5) advance to the semifinals and will play the winner of the Scott County-Johnson Central game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Jax Levitch made four of his team's six 3-pointers and also finished with 14 points.
Trinity, the Region 7 champion, scored seven of the first nine points and used a 12-2 run in the second quarter to push the margin to double digits and put the game away.
