LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky women's basketball team is now ranked No. 5 in the country in this week's Associated Press Poll. The Cats move up one spot after winning their 15th straight game Sunday. UK won at Missouri 69-43.

Baylor remains the top choice in The Associated Press women's basketball poll while Michigan earns its first appearance in the Top 25 in a decade.

The Lady Bears received 34 first place votes after cruising to easy wins over Iowa State and Kansas and now own the longest active conference winning streak, winning 32 straight Big 12 games.

Notre Dame, UConn, Duke and Kentucky round out the first five. The Wildcats switched places with Stanford, which had its 81-game conference winning streak end with a loss to No. 7 California on Sunday. Kentucky and Stanford were the only two changes in the first 16 teams in the Top 25.

Michigan enters the poll at No. 25. It's the first time the Wolverines are ranked since Dec. 23, 2002. They will play at Northwestern on Thursday.

Miami, which lost to both Maryland and Florida State, dropped out.
