UK Hoops up to No. 7 in AP Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky women's basketball team is up to No. 7 in this week's Associated Press Poll. The move follows Sunday's 78-65 win ovr Tennessee.

Kentucky will open play in the SEC Tournament Friday against either Vanderbilt or Missouri.

Baylor remained No. 1 in The Associated Press women's basketball poll for a ninth straight week.

No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Connecticut play Monday night for the Big East title. The Irish already have clinched a share of the championship..

Stanford and California are ranked fourth and fifth. Duke dropped one spot to sixth. Kentucky, Penn State, Tennessee and Maryland complete the Top 10.
