UK losing players to transfer

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky redshirt freshman defensive tackle Patrick Graffree has announced via Twitter he will transfer to Eastern Kentucky.

Wildcats coach Mark Stoops said after Friday's practice that Graffree's decision surprised him but acknowledged that the 6-foot-4, 286-pound Elizabethtown, Ky., native "may not have been happy" about his place in the program when the two talked at the conclusion of fall camp this week. The first-year coach says he understands Graffree's feelings and wished him the best.

Stoops also says that sophomore wide receiver Rashad Cunningham is ineligible this season, but will practice with the Wildcats. Cunningham played in six games last season and was impressive in Kentucky's spring game, catching eight passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Late this afternoon, UK defensive tackle Thomas Chapman Tweeted out that he was transferring to Murray State.
