After going through a physical practice Tuesday, Joker Phillips had his team take some of the pads off Wednesday morning as they prepared for their season opener with Louisville. Phillips also said his team will prepare for the possibility of wet conditions Sunday.
Kentucky goes into the annual Governor's Cup Game as a two touchdown underdog to Louisville. Phillips said his team still did some banging today and the execution was better, he said his team was closer.
Sunday's forecast now calls for better than a 50% chance of rain in Louisville which could be heavy at times. Phillips said his team will work with wet footballs Friday to prepare for the conditions.
