LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky defensive lineman Donte Rumph has suffered a potentially serious injury which may require surgery. Wildcats coach Mark Stoops made the announcement following Wednesday’s practice.
Stoops said Rumph was injured Monday during practice and is being evaluated. Stoops said Rumph may be out for a while and called it a “big loss.” Stoops said Rumph was one of UK’s most consistent players.
Rumph is a two-year starter at defensive tackle. For his career, the senior from St. Matthews, SC has 79 tackles, including five sacks.
