Western Kentucky players and coach Willie Taggart do not like WKU students wearing UK clothes and hats around campus. The Hilltoppers voiced their displeasure Monday and Taggart later put out an apology.

Western plays UK Saturday night in Commonwealth Stadium. Monday Taggart said the reason they are at WKU probably is because they couldn't get into UK.

The coach of the Hilltoppers later tweeted an apology saying his comments, "were intended to suggest that WKU students who wear UK apparel this week are not showing allegiance to our athletic program and football team in a week where we need everyone's support." Taggart went on to say, "I apologize to any of our students who think I may have meant otherwise."
