Willis finally joins Wildcats

LEXINGTON, KY (WKYT) - Nate Willis has arrive, thank goodness! The Wildcats newest addition went through his first practice today at the Nutter Complex. The JUCO All-American cornerback from Arizona didn't even have time to settle in before putting on the pads. "I really haven't unpacked. I'm just out here, came here to play football and go to school. So that's what I'm here to do," said Willis on Friday.
Mark Stoops was adamant about Friday's outing calling it, "weak, poor, disappointing, and a wasted day", but for Willis, Stoops perked up a little. "He has good ability and it's good to see." Willis liked what he saw today, just in terms of getting on the field. "It was good. I like the tempo, catching on to everything. It's just a process, but everything was great. Everything was great." While in Arizona, Willis had to pass a philosophy class to become eligible at UK. He passed and then passed on some knowledge as to why he chose the Cats. "It was a great opportunity, great coaching staff. I wanted to be a part of a turn around. So, I was here just to help out and just try to do my part and get the defensive mindset like Coach Stoops has to be smart and come out and just play good defense."
