One week ago it seemed certain forward Kyle Wiltjer would transfer from Kentucky. But after comments from his father to a Portland, Oregon newspaper, Wiltjer's future is apparently undecided.
Speaking to the Portland Tribune, Wiltjer's father Greg said, "Kyle is still a Kentucky Wildcat. He loves being a Kentucky Wildcat. He's not 100 percent committed to transferring."
Greg Wiltjer said his son has three options. Playing at Kentucky next season, redshirting at UK next season or transferring. The Wiltjer's visited Gonzaga last week, meeting with coach Mark Few and touring the facilities.
Kyle is in Toronto training with the Canadian team that will play in the World University games next week in Russia. A decision will not be made until after the games.
Greg Wiltjer says he'll support any decision, but he's hoping for a return to Kentucky and a redshirt. He said UK coach John Calipari supports that option.
