Updated: 08/26/2009 - Kentucky coach Rich Brooks says wide receiver Randall Cobb and running back Alfonso Smith are on track to play in the Wildcats' season-opener against Miami (Ohio) next Saturday. Trainer Chip Woolley said Wednesday that he didn't want to jeopardize Mine That Bird's health by running him in a 1¼-mile race less than two weeks after the horse had throat surgery to free an entrapped epiglottis.
