It's Kentucky's first top ten ranking since 1977, the Cats are also ranked eigth in the ESPN-USA Today Coaches Poll. Gun charges dismissed against South Carolina safety

Posted: 09/28/2007 - COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina safety Emanuel Cook had a felony gun charge dismissed at a preliminary hearing Friday. Cook, 19, of Riviera Beach, Fla., had been arrested last month and charged with unlawful possession of a pistol. The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a $2,000 fine.
