Bourbon County still undefeated

Something special is brewing in Bourbon County, and we're not talking about county's name-sake. For the first time in school history, the Colonels' football team is 6-0. That is the best start ever for the Burgandy and Gold. "This team has done everything we have asked them," said coach John Hodge. "We still have a long way to go, but I like the direction we are heading."
Where the Colonels are heading is to the top of Class 3A in central Kentucky. Colonels' star, Kentayvous Hopkins, knows this team is special. "Last year we didn't put many teams away, we kept them in the game. This year we are tappin' people, blowin' them out!" The numbers back up that claim. Bourbon County's is blasting teams by an average of 39 points an outing.
It's good to see good things happen to good people. It wasn't all that long ago, when Bourbon County was lifeless, mired in a 34 game losing streak. All of that is over now.
