Former Lewis Co. coach selected for NHSACA Hall of Fame induction

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Former Lewis Co. coach Gary Kidwell has been selected for induction into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame on June 25, 2013.

Kidwell coached basketball and baseball at Lewis Co. and was Lions' athletic director from 1987-2004.

A 1961 graduate of Lewis Co., Kidwell began his coaching career at Millersburg Military Institute.

Kidwell has been the sports editor for the Lewis County Herald for the past 23 years. He hosts a daily sports radio show on WKKS in Vanceburg.

Kidwell was inducted into the KHSAA/Dawahares Hall of Fame in 2011.
