LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Franklin County is undefeated, averaging 58 points per game, and loking forward to Friday's rematch with Connor in the second round of the playoffs. The Flyers remember what happened one year ago as Connor scored 84 points to end their season.
Connor won 84-48, racking up 761 yards rushing in the process. Franklin County quarterback Logan Woodside says this year his team will be ready. "I think we had never been in that situation before and I think this year we will be ready to go. We know what kind of team Conner is and I think last year we overlooked them a little bit."
Flyers' receiver-running back Ryan Timmons agrees with his quarterback. "Last year we didn't come ready to play. Conner is a great team and they came here and they did what everything they could.. We weren't focused last year, but this year, like I said, we are a better team with a different attitude. We have a lot of playmakers, more than we had last year, so this year it's gonna be different."
